Fun Ways to Use a Calendar

Even in this day of electronic wonder, where your Google Calendar syncs with your Zoom meeting invitations and sends messages to your iPhone, it’s still effective and fun to have a calendar you can print out and write on.

There’s something satisfying about writing down and crossing off our lists. Using a printed calendar is especially helpful for children as the visual reminders create an element of consistency.

Keeping track of your information, tasks, and time are important when you are creating habits, breaking habits, working towards a goal, and building excitement.

Here are a few ways to use your printed calendar with your children:

  1. Counting down to your Disney vacation
  2. Tracking of how much water you drink
  3. Assigning chores by day to the kiddos
  4. Tracking family appointments
  5. Counting down to any fun event (vacation, new movie release, birth of a new baby, etc)
  6. Assigning school related tasks
